17. Cleaning House

  Ho! Ho! Ho! It's Christmas time once again and I entered the festive period in good spirits with Morley Town sitting pretty at the top of the Yorkshire Amateur Supreme League and looking odds on to win back to back promotions on our journey to become serious rivals to Leeds United.  However it turns out the mood in the dressing room was not quite as festive... Our last match had been a 2-0 win at home against Alwoodley, but to my mind despite the result our performance had been rubbish and  against better opponents, we would have been beaten. I told the lads this after the game, with the objective of keeping their feet on the ground and guarding against complacency which I thought had crept into our play a bit of late. 16. Clear Daylight

  Morley Town have stormed clear at the top of the Yorkshire Amateur Supreme League, opening up an three point lead at the top of the table. Can they sustain their charge towards Level 10, or will the other teams in the division stop them in their tracks? Match 11: Morley Town v Leeds City This is somewhat of a grudge match after their reserve team did us over twice last season, not that it mattered overall. Still it would be nice to get one over this club. They lie in 10 th , while we are three points clear at the top from second placed Middleton, who host the hoodlums of Wortley. I make one change; Grantham comes in on the right after impressing off the bench against Littletown, with Faris Pamment dropping to the bench and Preston switching to the left wing.
